Tour basics

Which tour is best for a first visit to Lafayette?+

The Original Cajun Food Tour is the best starting point for first-time visitors because it combines five locally owned tasting stops, local history, and a comfortable bus ride in three hours.

What is included?+

Food tastings, bottled water, transportation where listed, restaurant gratuities, and guiding are included on the core tours. Alcohol and guide gratuities are not included.

Are tours good for families?+

Families are welcome. The Original Cajun Food Tour and the walking tour offer a clear way to introduce children to local food and culture; review the age and tour details before booking.

Booking & cancellations

How far in advance should I book?+

Book as soon as your dates are set, especially for weekends, holidays, and the All-Day Cajun Experience, which has a minimum of eight guests.

What is the cancellation policy?+

Most tours require 72 hours’ notice for cancellation. The All-Day Cajun Experience requires four days’ notice. Review the booking calendar for the policy attached to your chosen date.

Can I buy a gift card?+

Yes. Cajun Food Tours offers dollar-amount gift cards and tour-specific vouchers through the Gift Card & Voucher page.

Food, logistics & weather

Can you accommodate dietary requests?+

Dietary requests should be discussed before booking so Cajun Food Tours can confirm what each route and restaurant stop can accommodate.

Where do tours meet?+

Meeting points vary by experience. The Breaux Bridge Walking Food Tour starts at 125 Courthouse Street. The Around the World tour meets at the DoubleTree by Hilton at 1521 W Pinhook Road in Lafayette. Other tours offer pickup selection during booking.

What happens if the weather changes?+

Cajun Food Tours will communicate changes when weather affects an itinerary. The walking tour and All-Day experience have seasonal availability noted on their offer pages.

Groups & private experiences

Can you plan a private or custom tour?+

Yes. Custom Tours can support private groups, own-bus itineraries, step-on guide service, and receptive-operator planning. At least six weeks’ notice is recommended.

Can you host corporate groups or celebrations?+

Custom tours are designed for groups, celebrations, family reunions, and team experiences. Share the date, group size, and the kind of day you want by calling the team.
